Left the cottage this morning for Springhill in a windsuit and returned wishing I had worn a snowsuit. In the time that it took for my friend Angie and I to have a tea ,muffin and a chat it turned to an instant freeze outside and I shivered and shook the rest of the day as I went about my visits and errands. And poor Oreo got to stay in the car as I flitted about. I certainly didn't have to worry about leaving the window down . And dear sweet CoCo stayed home alone with no fire going as I had no idea the temps were going to drop as they did. The wind is wicked out there right now and the car was all over the road as I cruised down the highway. Of course the woodbox was empty ,so that had to be filled up after I got the kindling and paper lit to get a fire going and I just know I'll wake up with a sinus headache in the morning . Only dropped in long enough to give Amy whatever mail was hers as I wanted to get home to get the nest warmed before I headed out again to take in Ron Hynes at the Chatterbox this evening. I'm sure everyone will be so pleased to hear him sing Sonny's Dream . Tickets sure sold out fast.
Have my Christmas lights in the windows ready to shine out and guess I better get to the woods to get my birch tree and a tree for outside in the lanai before a big snowfall . I see Jenny has her wreaths up at the Esso so will pick one up on the weekend. A lot of work goes into those lovely wreaths and she decorates them so festively.
Time for tea . So will say cheers for now ! The Muse
