Another New Week

Isn't this just the most gorgeous day? A day to thank our Great Creator for life!  Down on the beach a few people I had never met before were beachcombing  . It was quite calm by  the sea and the water was comfortable on the toes. Oreo and Rinny did their share of sniffing the clumps of seaweed and now they're conked out from the walk and sleeping soundly.  Rinny's cough is slowly improving which means he's not coughing as much but nights are the worst  and my heart just aches for him.
Today is a lazy day for me as I prepare to begin my day before colonoscopy in the morning. From what I hear I'll definitely be on the MOVE tomorrow so I''m resting up now. Have to get a bowl of jello made and perhaps will slip to the store later for a can of chicken noodle soup so I can have the broth for meals . Can you believe that Eleanor and I are having the same procedure only a day apart? Now what are the odds of that? Same hospital, just different surgeons. I wonder what the chances will be for me to get through this first time adventure without any fodder for a musing?
I've been having a terrible time trying to get blood tests done to do a routine check of my cholesterol levels. Not that I'm all fired up about seeing them but fasting twice and then not having the tests done leaves me scrambling for food bigtime. The first time I was all geared up to head to head out to the hospital by 7 and then Rinny's condition worsened and I ended up making an emergency call to the animal clinic and we were on our way on a wing and a prayer. This morning I gave it another hook and I arrived at the hospital with bells on only to be told that they had not to their knowledge received the faxed referral. Thank goodness I had taken along a banana with me or I would have been as ugly as a bear. I did learn a lesson though and that is to follow up myself to make sure all the paperwork is in order. Good thing I don't have high bloodpressure !
Mother had a good check-up today with her hip surgeon .She's totally mended and could be jumping hurdles if she wished. Well ,maybe she's not that well mended. But she is getting aroun good and all the walking she can do will only make things better and better.Of course she had to wait for two hourspast her scheduled appointment time before she was finally able to see the
doctor and for diabetics that can sometimes be a problem if snacks aren't taken along .But little sister Rhonda took care of that and everything went fine.
Well I just hear Rinny going off on another coughing jag  away I go to take him out for some fresh air and get those bronchial tubes opened up .Cheers folks.  The Muse
