Light has just come to the sky and a pretty good breeze is blowing. The turkey is in the oven for an early beach Thanksgiving and soon cottage neighbors will gather for probably our last hoop-la of the season before some head back to their homes afar. I am so thankful for these wonderful friends who really are more like family . Something very special takes place along the Norm Greene Trail with the loving and caring connections we have here .I know it's not like that on every beach so I do feel very blessed. So many types of relationships we have in this world ! Isn't it grand ?
I saw on the late news a blirp about the dragonboat races in Lake Banook but I didn't catch a peek of Eleanor . Two children will be granted wishes through the Wish Foundation from the monies raised. How great is that! Way to go Eleanor! I'll be waiting to hear all about it.
Big crew around the dominoe table last night. 9 of us seeking a win. Looks like it may be a close call between Barb and Jack for the trophy.THere better not be a tie as there is only one award and it would be hard to share it between here and Saskatoon. The laughing and carrying on that goes on around Grammie's old table is music to my ears!
The woodshed is coming along well with the floor and roof on .Sides will go on later this afternoon hopefully. It's going to be so nice to be able to just go through the pumphouse and into the woodshed without trudging in the snow . I'm pretty darn excited about that. And it won't be long before a fire will be needed every day. Cindy Day says the call is for a colder and more snow winter so we'll soon see if the predictions are right.
Well I must go and check on Mr.Turkey-Lurkey .He's walking on thin ice in my oven with my cooking reputation! Cheers folks. The Muse
